Squirrel Hill Mid-Century Modern Renovation and Addition

Our client enlisted us to update and expand their mid-century modern house in Pittsburgh’s Squirrel Hill neighborhood. The addition opened up the second floor to create a light filled stairway, office, and new bedroom with modernized bathroom. Exterior materials were chosen for their durability and clean aesthetic to minimize future maintenance and still complement the original design. The premium metal cladding conveys a modern wood plank through an exclusive digital process that prints the wood grain image onto the siding. Large energy efficient windows open up views to the surrounding tree canopy and neighborhood beyond. Modern fixtures, millwork, art and furnishings carry through the interior design of the new spaces to create a cohesive, comfortable, and calming feel for the client and their family.
