Sewickley Transitional Kitchen Renovation and Addition
Wildman Chalmers Design transformed a 1908 shingle-style stone house in Sewickley with a stunning kitchen renovation and addition. The project expanded the kitchen by enclosing the porch and adding an extension, creating an open kitchen and dining area with views of the backyard.
The design features natural materials like green limestone flooring, white oak cabinetry, and Vermont Danby marble counters. Highlights include an exposed original stone wall and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking a prized Japanese maple. The design blends historic charm with modern touches, such as minimalist hardware and vintage-inspired fixtures.
