Mediterra Cafe

2018AIAawardWInner.jpg

The Mediterra Café project façade renovation created a revived streetscape presence with changes that included increasing the height of the storefront with a new custom wood transom (by installing a steel beam above the original storefront), uncovering and restoring the original tin ceiling at the new stained Spanish cedar entry doors, lighter paint colors and red outdoor café furniture. A combination bakery, café, and lifestyle market, the interior offers zones which include a custom bread rack window display made from Amish harnesses, a free soda water fountain integrated into retail shelving, reclaimed wood retail and community tables, and a handwashing sink at the coffee area for customers and visiting purveyors.
